Staff Accountant/ GL Accountant

This position coordinates administers and processes all aspects of general ledger accounting for all entities assigned. Responsible for all accounting, reporting, and GL maintenance for entities assigned in accordance with US GAAP. Ensure a complete and accurate month-end close process within established deadlines of the company. Balance sheet reconciliation responsibilities as well as understanding the business and how recurring and non-recurring transactions have and will affect the balance sheet.


Review and enter adjusting journal entries and submit appropriate supporting documentation with those entries. Develop accounting memos that analyze transactions and draw conclusions based on relevant accounting guidance as provided in the FASB Accounting Standards Codification. Prepare audit schedules and provide audit support and assist the auditors in their inquiries. Perform variance analyses, identify, and resolve unusual variances through investigation and communication with company personnel. Take the initiative to investigate reconciling items, or discrepancies and contact the appropriate individuals to gather information to propose and implement solutions. Other duties as assigned.

Working Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Strong knowledge of GAAP. CPA preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred Proven ability to effectively prioritize workload and execute deliverables Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge. 3-5 years of accounting experience in public accounting, industry accounting, or both. Experience using multiple accounting and software applications, as well as an understanding of how other systems used to interface with the GL/Accounting system. Ability to research problems and take corrective action. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Ability to multitask and handle quick deadlines. License to practice public accounting (CPA) preferred.


Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
