Star Buds, Denver's premier dispensary, is seeking reliable and enthusiastic individuals that are interested in a marketing internship opportunity in the cannabis industry. We are seeking undergraduate seniors with a marketing focus to participate in an 8-week unpaid internship program with a specific focus on supporting a marketing vertical within a rapidly growing, multi-state, multi-country cannabis retail company. The position requires 15 hours per week, with two 5 hour days at the Star Buds corporate office and the remaining 5 hours remotely.

The Social Media Intern works closely with the Marketing Manager to complete daily activities as they relate to digital marketing, social media, the website and occasionally general business operations, including:
Research and implement social media strategy.
Analyze our current marketing and social media efforts.
Participate in the planning, strategy, development and launch of a new website from the ground up.
Learn about the brand and become familiar with product lines and general brand vibe.
Execution and planning of the omni-channel content strategy.
Management of social media accounts.
Planning, production and publishing of content across multiple channels.
This position requires self-direction, responsibility, drive and ambition. The Social Media Intern will be involved in every aspect of the digital marketing and social media of the business and will work closely with the Marketing Manager to help make decisions and implement strategies. This is an unpaid internship, but credit is available. Intern must be at least 21 years of age.
Advance the intern’s knowledge of Social Media and Digital Marketing
Omni-channel content strategy and implementation
General cannabis business logistics
Website development and management
Social media platform management, including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Sprout Social
General business and e-mail etiquette as it pertains to partnerships and vendors
Knowledge of the inner workings of a retail business
Marketing strategy and execution across multiple markets with different regulations
Digital marketing strategy
General knowledge of E-commerce/website management skills
Social media skills: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Spout Social
Product marketing and product placement, particularly as it pertains to cannabis
General knowledge of coding as it pertains to marketing content
