As a Sonoma Lab Works Sales Representative, you will manage a sales territory where you identify and meet with decision makers for targeted licensed operators, identify sales opportunities, generate and follow-up on leads, educate prospects on our services, and close sales.
Who are you?
You are a charismatic professional who has established relationships within the California cannabis industry. You will cultivate knowledge of our lab services to educate customers and help them with their business needs. You’ll generate new leads and opportunities for Sonoma Lab Works through building relationships as a member of the cannabis business community and leveraging existing connections.
Follow up on leads, cold call new prospects, educate customers on our products, and close sales;
Work as a team with operations to ensure a smooth and successful customer experience;
Develop, grow and maintain knowledge of our products and services, customer needs, market dynamics, competition, and sales strategy;
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships virtually and through regular site visits to ensure maximum client success;
Proactively and enthusiastically develop relationships both internally and externally;
Attend industry conferences and events when available;
Conduct research using online and print resources to develop target lists;
Meet defined KPIs, and provide weekly status reports to the Business Development Director;
Follow a sales and marketing plan to meet or exceed monthly quotas based on total sales and new contracts;
Follow procedures in compliance with industry regulations.
Characteristics of a Successful Sales Representative:
Proactive, optimistic, outgoing professional with negotiation skills
Self-motivated, dependable, with laser focus on follow up
Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
Organized and able to effectively track and maintain contact with clients using mobile apps, email, and other communication tools
Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience
Minimum 1 year of working for a licensed cannabis operator
In-depth knowledge of the cannabis industry
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Must be 21 years of age or older with clean driving record
Able to travel (drive) for meetings and customer visits within sales territory. Some air travel and overnight stays required.
