Retail Training Specialist - Remote

The Retail Training Specialist is responsible for ensuring Justice Cannabis Co. Retail Staff are fully trained on sales, service, SOPs and systems. This role collaborates with members of the Retail, HR, Compliance and Security Teams to ensure employees are proficient on the policies, procedures, and practices necessary to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This position also coordinates with vendors to ensure associates are fully trained on dispensary products and ensures all compliance training is completed as well. May supervisor one or more staff or project team members in the delivery of training materials.

Responsibilities

• Assess training needs through job analysis, career path review and consultation with the leadership team to identify skill gaps that impact compliance, productivity, and performance. • Develop individualized and group training content built on sound instructional design principles that engages employees, addresses individual needs and learning styles, and optimizes knowledge retention through sound adult learning principles • Designs and implements onboarding programs for new dispensary staff in collaboration with Compliance, HR, Security, and IT. • Conducts training sessions with new and existing employees in classroom and remote settings • Maintains expert level knowledge on in-store operations and SOPs • Collaborates with business leaders to define learning objectives and curriculum • Authors technical and procedural documents such as work instructions, SOPs, training aids, user guides and facilitator manuals • Coordinates the retail performance management process in collaboration with HR to ensure all hires successfully complete their orientation period

Physical Requirements

Work may require prolonged standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires lifting to 25 pounds regularly. Ability to travel.

Experience

10 or more years of successful retail management experience • 10 or more years of customer service experience • 5 Years’ experience building and delivering learning programs that support the development and growth of people, managers, and teams. • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills and the ability to work with leadership and team members at all levels • 5 or more years using instructional design principles in an adult learning environment including learning assessment skills • Strong interpersonal communication skills • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to turn concepts into practical training materials • Superior project management skills with attention to detail

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Curriculum/Instruction, or closely related field or equivalent combination of experience.
