-Compliant with all MED and local laws pertaining to the cannabis industry. -Demonstrate practical knowledge of products, asking questions during training(s), pop-ups, or on inventory posts/emails. -Know MED compliance on products, labels, deliveries, rules and regulations. -Includes complete training and assigned weekly shift(s) for inspections. -Knowledge on retail team SOPs, discounting, POS, manual receipts, etc. -Stay current with SOPs and willingness to provide input on potential updates on SOPs and other department policies. -Able to assist Retail Store Manager with finding replacement staff due to callouts or schedule changes. -Train new Associates and Specialists on duties in the assigned focus area. -METRC training and certification quarterly. -Able to cover all Retail positions, this includes all duties outlined in the Retail Associate and Specialist job descriptions. -Attend and engage in Retail meetings. -Complete daily shift reports, including but not limited to, drawer counts, summary of shift, inventory reports, etc. -Assist Retail Store Manager with extra duties and projects. -Teamwork in collaborating and communicating with other departments
The ability to remain in a seated position, standing, as well as the ability to go back and forth from seated to a standing position for periods of 4-8 hours during their shift; may also be asked to do light lifting (50 lbs max) as well as bending and stretching. Inventory will need to use items involving latex.
The Retail Leader, with a focus area of running the Floor, supports the Retail Store Manager by managing the Retail staff and customer/patient needs. The Floor Leader manages the daily schedule, communicates discounts, and handles all in-store customer concerns that the Retail Associates or Specialists need assistance. The Floor Leader is responsible for training and coaching Retail Associates and Specialists on reception and budtending duties. A Retail Leader with a focus of running the floor will also be expected to know, understand and help train inventory related tasks such as counting, stocking, and inventory compliance.
External candidates must be able to demonstrate the following experience as well as pass the competency tests within four months of hire date: -At least 2 years experience in customer service. -Supervisory experience in a retail, food service, or manufacturing environment. Experience in the cannabis industry is a plus. -Complete the Budtender and Receptionist training, including Reception Competency Quiz with a 100%. -Complete Inventory Specialist and Leader training, including Inventory Specialist and Lead Competency Quiz with 100%. -Able to pass all required quizzes on an annual basis.
-Attend Responsible Vendor class every 2 years, completing the test with 70% or better bi-yearly. -Complete the Smokey's Compliance Competency Quiz with a 100%. -Attend fraudulent ID training.
