Quality Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Quality Engineer to help drive the company’s Quality Assurance programs, and to provide technical expertise on quality-related matters.

Responsibilities

-Supports the QA Manager in the creation and implementation of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).

-Oversees compliance activities in accordance with all applicable quality initiatives.

-Manages entire process for QMS-related documents, forms, templates, SOPs, and work instructions.

-Leads the investigation, implementation and close-out of CAPAs, SCARs, deviation reports, and out-of-specification analyses.

-Creates product sampling and statistical testing strategies.

-Creates and updates control charts and other means of visually displaying quality data.

-Maintains and revises all quality documentation as needed.

-Provides company-wide training on quality processes and procedures.

-Generates QMS metrics.

-Performs ongoing internal quality audits as required.

-Provides QA support for customer, supplier, and product certification audits.

-Monitors and assists in the processing, tracking, and resolution of customer complaints.

-Provides technical support and guidance to the Product and Design team, and actively assists with new product introductions.

-Support all ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience

-At least 7+ years working in a quality management capacity.

-Undergraduate degree preferred.

-Strong analytical and communication skills.

-Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation. -German language skills are a plus!

Strong working knowledge of risk management, design controls, and testing protocols for precision-engineered products.

Skilled in test plan development, statistical sampling techniques, and root cause failure analysis.

-ASQ’s, CQM, (Certified Quality Manager) or CQL (Certified Quality Leader) certification is a strong plus.

-Proven ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

-Excellent project management, organizational, analytical and research skills.

-Proven strength in critical thinking with the demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, and the ability to quickly shift priorities to meet changing demands.

-Advanced knowledge of quality-related trends and influences affecting the organization and industry.

-Strong relationship building and effective communication skills.
