Q/A Technician

Responsibilities

Interpret test results as needed and compare them to established specifications and control limits and make recommendations on appropriateness of data/products for release.

Create and issue QA systems and documentation to ensure compliance and accurate information tracking.

Preparation of measurement standards for quality compliance (i.e. product specifications, label specifications, ingredient specifications, and raw material specifications).

Completing and assisting QA Manager in creating QA documents and systems.

Create and approve documents such as “Product Spec sheets”, “Standard Operating Procedures”, “Equipment Lists” and “Ingredient Lists.”

Conduct audits at Licensee’s facilities.

Monitor specifications for products, labels, packaging, and ingredients.

Gather and record nutritional facts on all products.

Perform visual inspections of finished products when applicable.

Analyze production samples to evaluate quality.

Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to Licensee partners.

Problem solve production issue or discrepancies with Licensee partners.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers, to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Must be able to travel long distances by airplane with overnight travel. 30% travel will be required.

Working Environment

$50,000-$55,000 annually, Medical, dental, and vision insurance offered, 2 weeks' PTO plus holiday pay, Free RTD EcoPass, Product discounts

Experience

Required Education and Experience

Knowledge of GMP practices, HACCP and Serve Safe. 1-2 years QA Experience or substitute education. Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, lab sciences (i.e. biology, chemistry, mathematics, physics) or engineering. Or relevant work experience. 1 -2 years cannabis industry experience
