Purchasing Specialist

Job description
We are looking for an Purchasing Specialist in Clackamas, who embraces the Wyld culture.
Summary
Wyld's Purchasing Specialists will execute and track the company's purchasing and procurement efforts. This person will be responsible for ensuring that our business is able to acquire needed supplies, materials and other relevant items, provide tracking information to interested parties and keeping pristine records of all transactions.
Duties & Responsibilities

Receive purchase requests from within organization to create purchase orders
Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price of items requested to master list
Reviews purchase orders and transactions for compliance with company and departmental policies
Maintain records of purchase requests, purchase orders, order confirmations/receipts, packing slips, and payments
Maintain status of order progress and shipment tracking
Build relationship with suppliers when placing purchase orders and tracking order progress/status
Communicate with end users within the company regarding orders placed
Collaborate and communicate with AP to ensure efficiency and maintain positive vendor relationship. Work with AP department to resolve pending issues and assure timely payment of invoices
Process returns of materials and goods. Resolves problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale
Collect Certificate of Analysis on all purchased raw materials
Manage Amazon Business account
Evaluate competitive rates and coordinate freight of purchased goods and internal shipments
Collaborate with Operations to schedule delivery appointments and verify purchase deliveries

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED required
2+ years of experience as a Purchasing Specialist or in a similar role
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred
CPM or APICS certification preferred
Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems
Team player with strong organizational skills
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Active Oregon Liquor Control Commission (“OLCC”) marijuana worker permit
Language Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written
Math Skills: Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel required between buildings and sites
State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older
