Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for all material planning, procurement, and finished material sourcing needed to support the company. $60-$65K, Not a remote position

Responsibilities

• Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization and deliver cost improvements • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors for discounts based on quantity and other metrics • Develop backup suppliers so key goods are available and consistently in stock • Track inventory and restock goods when needed • Stay up to date on industry trends, especially key supply shortages and new products • Compare available goods to optimize pricing and quality

Experience

• 5+ years' experience in procurement or materials sourcing, with a proven record of managing supply base through the development of strategic supplier selection and management in a consumer goods environment. • Demonstrated experience in developing short term and long-term goals • Technical skills in material and inventory management • Ability to analyze and synthesize data quickly. • Must have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within a team environment. • Must have experience maintaining a high level of activity working with several projects simultaneously. • Strong commitment to the highest standard of personal and professional integrity. • Self-motivated with the ability to succeed with little supervision.

Education

• Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
