HR Assistant

Job description
We are looking for an HR Assistant in Clackamas, OR who embraces the Wyld culture.
Summary
The HR Assistant will have a large role in helping our HR department recruit and develop our super talented and ambitious workforce. From recruiting to onboarding to employee development, your impact on our success and our future will be significant. In addition, you'll focus on the day-to-day administration of human resource policies, procedures and programs.
Duties & Responsibilities

Onboarding our new hires appropriately, extending offer letters, policies, and making sure their paperwork is completed and filed properly
Run background checks and communicate results with candidates and HR Business Partners
Track employee certifications, ensuring state and federal compliance
Company employee communication
Compensation and benefits administration
Employee safety, welfare, wellness and health
Work with the appropriate department manager to effectively process and complete employee terminations (Small part of termination)
Assist HR Manager with the proper paperwork and tracking of leaves
Participate in our safety team meetings and safety efforts
Working with HR Director and HR Manager to ensure we minimize any legal liability and escalate appropriate situations or incidents
Ensure all HR files are accurate, up to date, complete and accessible to the appropriate personnel
Talent Acquisition support
Complete reference checks for Talent Acquisition team
Always working to ensure that employees have a safe and positive environment to succeed in and that the Wyld culture is maintained
Additional duties as needed

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or a related area is preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
Strong problem solving, critical thinking, organizational, and documentation skills
1-2 years of HR management experience
1 year of recruiting experience is a plus
A passion for working a new and exciting industry for a dynamic and energetic company
Must have active Oregon Liquor Control Commission (“OLCC”) marijuana worker permit
State regulations require all applicants must be 21 years of age or older
