The Head of Marketing position will lead and drive the planning and execution of all aspects of establishing and evolving the LucidaClub brand, products, and services in the market. Reporting to the CEO, this is a critical position that will touch and shape all aspects of the company’s presence in the market, both with consumers and business partners.
The right person will be knowledgeable about the dynamics of the cannabis market, the challenges facing recreational retailers in attracting new customers, and most importantly the challenges facing cannacurious consumers in accessing the benefits of cannabis in today’s retail environment.
Operationally, this position will be on the frontlines, establishing and nurturing the LucidaClub voice and brand to attract and retain a robust community of members and business partners. An intuitive grasp of, and empathy with, the many aspects and profiles of the cannacurious will be key to success in this role. This role will operate principally in the digital realm using the tools, techniques, and metrics of direct marketing to quickly find a formula that engages cannacurious consumers and efficiently moves target consumers into the funnel and converts them to members. The position will be responsible for the development and execution of all marketing plans including SEO/SEM, email marketing, social media, influencers and online advertising campaigns, expertly analyzing online statistics to optimize performance and cost. The candidate must exhibit very strong attention to detail, task ownership, and follow-through, within a commitment to collaboration and teamwork. Knowledge of the the cannabis industry is preferable and ideally the Massachusetts market, and have a successful track record of marketing and establishing strong brands in this market.
Applicants must demonstrate a strong ability to organize and execute a marketing strategy that is effective in MA but can also serve as a model for expanding into other geographies.
The candidate should be located in Massachusetts or otherwise able to be an in-person team member of LucidaClub, which is based north of Boston.
Initially this will be a part-time position and as we grow this may change.
