General Manager

GMs are responsible for hiring and managing dispensary staff and ensuring they are well-trained on the products, service, and culture that distinguish the Bloc brand. Working with an experienced Team of industry pros, you’ll ensure Team Members have clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations; and understand exactly what is required to achieve success. When things go wrong, you’ll engage the coaching and problem-solving that helps Team Members succeed.  When things go right, you’ll recognize, praise, and reward Team Member success. 

Sorry but no job is without paperwork. As a Bloc GM, you’ll monitor daily reports to determine if you’re on target to achieve sales and revenue targets. You’ll use financial and inventory management tools to bring a disciplined and data-driven approach to decision making; and you’ll also become an expert on cannabis regulations in the State of Missouri. Reading news, updates, and legislative briefs you’ll ensure all processes and transactions are 100% compliant with applicable regulations; and, that all Team Members are trained on state compliance rules.

What you bring to the role:  

You’re a role model! Demonstrating Bloc values and embodying the traits we expect in our leaders, you set the standard for Team behavior and performance. Ideally, you’ll bring over five (5) years of experience managing high-volume fast paced retail Teams.  Additionally, you’ll have exceptional verbal and written communication skills; and the demonstrated ability to meet and exceed performance goals. 

Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, experience using point-of-sales, inventory tracking and knowledge of customer management processes and systems is also important to success in this role. Commitment to serving your community is also preferred!


Four-year degree in management, business management or a closely related field, (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
