Cultivation Technician

Job description
This is a full-time role in a leading cultivation facility in Cottage Grove, Oregon. We are offering competitive compensation commensurate with experience as well as other benefits. We are looking to bring on a select number of solid team members who can grow with our company; this is the ideal position for someone new to the industry who is looking to learn from, and grow alongside, the best.
Under supervision of our Head of Propagation, this role would be focused on the cutting of varietal “mothers”, propagating, planting, and maintaining our clone inventory. We are a dedicated crew working in a fast paced environment. No cannabis experience is required, but a strong work ethic and an ability to shift quickly from task to task is.

Performance Requirements:

21 or older
Possess or be available to get a Marijuana Worker Permit holder
Basic plant knowledge; cannabis-specific knowledge not required
Goal-oriented – for example, must achieve a certain number of cuttings per day
Self-directed, motivated, and good at time management
Willing to learn
Detail-oriented (able to differentiate between varieties)
Able to work collaboratively and as a team with crew members
Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
Willing to follow strict COVID-19 protocol as well as other safety protocols
Punctual with access to reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

Able to handle heat for prolonged periods (greenhouse environment)
Able to work on feet for full days
Available for occasional heavy lifting (35lbs)

Core Tasks:

Planting plugs into 4” or 8” pots
Watering and fertilizing
Taking cuttings off cannabis mother plants
Sticking cuttings in rooting hormone and rooting trays
Tagging plants
Identifying different varietals
Identifying pests
Maintaining facility cleanliness
Helping in other departments as needed
