Brand Manager

Our client is a startup that manufactures and provides low THC flower, edibles and vape cartridges tailoring to consumers who do not want to consume high potency flower. The Brand Manager is responsible for leading the creation and execution of consumer-facing brand and product strategies, and for growing the brand portfolio into an industry-leader in brand equity and market share. This is a ground floor opportunity and a chance to be one of the first full-time employees to collaborate with the leadership team who has extensive cannabis industry experience.

Responsibilities

Build brand presence throughout California. Manage internal brand activities; facilitating communication between sales with regards to product listing information, product availability, product photos, product barcode samples and anything else required for external sales. Coordinates cross-functional activities and planning processes, manages timelines, and ensures timely completion of all deliverables. Interacting with clients on a daily basis, ensuring their questions are being answered and solutions are presented for any challenges raised. Manage B2B and B2C email campaigns. Represent the company at events and organize the company’s participation. Communicate promotional material needs. Develop and execute winning in-store brand strategies and promotions. Develop and execute digital and social media tactics in support of brand building strategies. Collaborate with future social media and content teams. Ensuring an accurate and timely flow of documentation including quotes, PO’s, invoices, and AR/AP documentation. Understands specifics of product details to ensure all work provides clear, accurate and compliant information.

Experience

Excellent written and verbal communications skills to develop accurate, credible and persuasive content. Excellent organization and time management skills, and ability to juggle multiple events, work independently and on a team. Proficiency in multimedia communications platforms and tools, including email and the Google suite of products. Comfort with ambiguity and creating process solutions in novel situations. Excellent interpersonal skills. Familiarity with cannabis compliance in California. Proven examples of managing a cannabis brand’s reputation. Cannabis industry experience.. 3 - 5 years experience in marketing, brand management, product management.
