Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Stay current on market trends and understand the external environment (competitive and market) to identify new sources of opportunity and threats.

Make decisions on marketing spend based on assigned budgets.

Own the development and messaging of the brand.

Identify and build relationships with Michigan dispensary customers.

Create, execute, and manage marketing programs and campaigns including in-store marketing displays, demos, emails, text blasts and more.

Scheduling and managing of live events, such as vendor days or trade shows.

Create incentive packages and programs for customers.

Manage platforms used for sales and messaging, such as weed maps.

Creating designs and layouts for media outlets.

Writing pitches, blog posts, and articles.

Building relationships with influencers, journalists, and media outlets.

Overseeing social media accounts and ensure brand consistency.

Physical Requirements

This role will include travel throughout Michigan 50% or more with some in-office located in Oak Park, MI.

Experience

Requirements:

BA/BS degree required. Marketing related degree preferred.

5+ Years of relevant experience.

A current Michigan Medical Marijuana Card Holder a plus.

Experience in FMCG/CPG Industry a plus; knowledge of the vaping and cannabis industry is desired.

Time & Project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects

Excellent interpersonal skills, presentation skills and the ability to work with a variety of personalities.
