Assistant Inventory Manager

Job description
The Assistant Inventory Manager assists with the supervision of the daily tasks of the Post-Harvest department including the packaging and fulfillment work flows. This role is also responsible for cannabis inventory and for tracking and reporting on non-cannabis supplies and inventory. The Assistant Inventory Manager will work closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure that the necessary supplies and inventory are available to the facility
Job Responsibilities

Ensures the physical organization and documents the count of cannabis and non-cannabis inventory
Responsible for ensuring the appropriate supply and inventory levels are available for the facility, and work closely with the purchasing manager to ensure needs are met
Prepares product labels and manifest documents using tracking systems (METRC, LeafLink, Canix)
Coordinates shipments of cannabis inventory with secure transports in a timely manner
Maintains and ensures the accuracy of all required reports and documentation in relation to orders and manifests
Manage transfers and product movement in collaboration with the purchasing team and retail team
Identify and resolve physical and digital inventory discrepancies
Assists in the supervision of the order fulfillment tasks of the Post-Harvest team members
Provides feedback on team Standard Operating Procedures, goals, and objectives to the Post Harvest Manager
Assist staff with escalations, trouble shooting, and problem solving
Assists with the organization of the Post-Harvest team work areas and set up the areas for efficient operation of filling, and packaging; labeling, boxing, inventory counts etc.
Mentors team members and provides feedback and coaching
Address performance deficiencies and escalates concerns to the Post Harvest Manager and Human Resources
Assists the Post Harvest Manager with the evaluation of team member performance and capabilities
Coordinates with the Post-Harvest Manager to train new Post-Harvest team members on SOPs and best practices
Monitors production output and performs quality checks to ensure team member compliance to standard operating procedures and reports on findings to the Post-Harvest Manager
Takes ownership of all recording of inventory data into the inventory tracking system and ensures this task is done accurately and timely
Assist with the packaging and order fulfillment process and tasks
General labor throughout the facility as needed (clean-up, light maintenance, etc.)
Assist with Pre-Harvest activities including live plant care and maintenance as needed
Perform other related work as required

Job Requirements:

High School diploma/GED preferred
Minimum of 1 year prior experience in cannabis cultivation required
Minimum of 1 year prior experience in a production setting required
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to take charge and hold team members accountable to policies and procedures fairly and consistently
Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
Ability to motivate team members
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
Ability to repetitively use fine motor skills including grasping, gripping, holding, and fine manipulation
Must be comfortable working in outdoor conditions and all weather
Must be 21 years of age or older
