Assistant Director of Extraction

This position is primarily administrative in the day-to-day operations of the extraction department. The main responsibilities include compliance, scheduling, feed acquirement and designation, and management of extraction and laboratory technicians. Management responsibilities include reviews, proper communication, scheduling, and facilitating employee complaints, recommendations, and concerns.


 Develop and Adhere to SOPs  Train Employees on SOPs  Routine and Accurate Data Log Completion  Training Technicians on specific departmental roles  Ensuring proper maintenance and monitoring proper cleaning of extraction equipment  Undertaking routine and preventative maintenance on extraction equipment and auxiliary components  Creating extraction and distillation schedules based on business needs and priorities.  Maintaining adequate feed materials  Transfilling combustible hydrocarbon fuels (CGAP1 certification)  Maintaining adequate LPG and solvent stocks  METRC and BioTrackTHC compliance  Creating accurate METRC and BiotrackTHC tickets  Ability to run all extraction and laboratory equipment.  Ordering lab and extraction supplies and consumables.  Additional tasks as needed.  Communicate with Grow/Trim and Logistics team for proper flow through of products.

 2+ year experience managing a cannabis extraction department.  ETS MEP certification  2+ year experience post processing hydrocarbon products  Full knowledge of METRC and BiotrackTHC  Scheduling Experience  2+ years’ experience running CO2 extractors.  2+ years’ experience running short path and wiped film distillation.  Have a high level of attention to detail.  Be self-motivated with the ability to prioritize.

 Experience developing and training on SOPs.  Must possess or qualify for a MED Key or Support Badge  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products  CGAP1 (Transfill) certification
