Account Executive

The Account Executive will work collaboratively with a Sales Manager to deliver booth, sponsorship, and digital revenue for our events. This role supports both new business and retention initiatives, including closing cold/warm leads supporting business development by prospecting at competitive shows, and managing all retention business. You’ll need to deliver exemplary customer service at every step of the sales process to ensure the customer’s experience delivers the value they expect. The best candidate for this position will be a self-motivated relationship builder with a strong attention to detail, exceptional follow through, and the ability to proactively solve tough client problems. Successful candidates should also be highly goal-driven, work with a sense of urgency, and be comfortable collaborating with other departments. This position provides an excellent opportunity to be part of the leader in the cannabis space. Our team sells across platforms to provide event opportunities to our current client base as well as new entrants to the market.


Responsibilities • Achieve assigned sales goals, including sponsorship, booth, attendee acquisition, virtual event, and digital revenue goals • Update and maintain accurate notes, customer details, and accurate forecasts in CRM • Continuously analyze the needs of current clients and work with their Show Manager to propose programs that meet those needs • Identify new products, trends, and opportunities to increase revenue or attendance where appropriate • Build strong relationships with influential and/or advocate accounts • Engage with industry and gain industry knowledge and understand market complexities • Assist customers and arrange payment terms in accordance with established guidelines • Attend team meetings to strategize, seek out marketing support, discuss revenue growth opportunities, solve client issues, and share competitive information • Provide consistent communication to management, team, and clients regarding challenges and opportunities • Attend competitive or industry related trade shows to stay connected to current clients and prospect for new

Qualifications • 2+ years b2b sales experience • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM • Skilled at using all sales tools (Microsoft Office, email, social media) to exceed goals • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail in a deadline driven, team-oriented environment • Willing and able to travel overnight for up to 20% of the time
