Account Executive

We are looking for candidates in the Colorado, Chicago, or Oklahoma City/Tulsa area

Calyx Containers is looking for an ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE to join our growing Sales team. This role is responsible for identifying net-new sales opportunities, while growing and maintaining a healthy pipeline of leads. You will follow a well-defined sales process, identifying the customer's unique needs and clearly communicating the value of partnering with Calyx Containers. You will collaborate with internal teams to drive net-new business opportunities from initial prospecting through negotiation and close. This is an excellent opportunity to sell leading packaging solutions in the fast-growth cannabis industry. We are open to applicants located in Boston, California, Oregon, Salt Lake City and other Mountain states.

Responsibilities

Meet and/or exceed quota by prospecting for, qualifying and closing net new business opportunities using an established consultative selling approach

Generate net-new qualified sales opportunities via self-sourced leads and inbound referrals, and thoughtfully positioning Calyx Container’s offerings to suit their needs

Being a trusted advisor and an industry expert

Work closely and communicate effectively with various functional teams including Design, Customer Success and Account Management to ensure seamless customer experience

Manage and forecast to an individual opportunity pipeline of opportunities through all stages in the sales funnel

Report key deal updates and accurate forecast data to sales leadership weekly, monthly and quarterly

Accurately enter, update, and maintain daily activity, forecast and opportunity information in the CRM system

Advise holistic solutions for the needs and challenges of prospective customers in a highly dynamic industry

Develop expertise on the compliance restrictions and opportunities of child-resistant packaging

Experience

B.S. in Sales, Accounting or Management preferred

At least 3+ years of full cycle sales experience (B2B)

Excellent communication, presentation and strategic analytical thinking skills

Strong track record of success driving revenue through prospecting and creating new business

Ability to work well independently and under pressure, as well as be highly responsive to clients

Ability to learn, absorb and adapt quickly to ever-changing business priorities

Packaging or Cannabis experience a plus

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office applications; Experience with at least one CRM software
