Production Chemist

Job description
N-Fuzed Colorado is continuing to grow and we are very excited to be hiring a new chemist position to keep up with increased demand. This is a wet chemistry position centered around solution (tincture) compounding and data tracking. The Production Chemist will be responsible for carefully handling large amounts of product, accurately formulating tincture for production, and entering formulation/sample submission information into the industry tracking system. The Production Chemist will also assist the Chief Chemist and other management personnel in performing R&D, maintaining digital and physical production records, communicating testing requirements/timelines, and assisting the production team with product dosing and packaging as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
· BS in Chemistry or another related scientific discipline
· Associates in Chemistry or another related scientific discipline with 1-3 years of laboratory experience
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in the cannabis industry
· 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
· MED Employee badge (will be required upon offer)
· Food Safety Handler Certification
Key responsibilities include:
· Performing calculations for accurate solution concentrations
· Compounding tincture for the production team
· Cleaning/Maintaining laboratory equipment and glassware
· Accurately weighing ingredients and following SOPs
· Logging lab activity in tracking systems
· Operating production equipment
· Assisting Research personnel as needed when developing new and improved products
· Assisting Production personnel as needed when producing or packaging products

COVID-19 considerations:
You will be working in a closed laboratory setting with one supervisor. Increased cleaning of high touch areas will be required.
